Victorian Gothic Gathering

Host a haunting affair at your home, complete wtih festive fare and sophisticated Halloween style.


Forbidding Front Entry
* Hang red-velvet curtains to frame your front entrance and get creative with tiebacks (we used a gold tassel tied into a noose and remnants of a skeleton arm).
* For a haunting haze, set a fog machine behind the doorway. And place a tombstone (painted with chalkboard paint) on the front door to deliver a dreadful message of your choice.




Hang It Up
* Tied into a noose, a golden length of cord harnesses a curtain at the entry. Just beyond, on the front door, an inscribed tombstone gives pause with its ominous invitation, 'Enter If You Dare.'




Guard Owl
* Glowing like a dying ember, a carved pumpkin provides a beacon in the foggy twilight. A hoot owl carved into a white "funkin" hints at the feathered flock inside. Think Alfred Hitchcock’s classic horror film, The Birds…, and watch out for your eyes.




Arm’s Length
* To beckon guests inside, a skeleton arm rests lightly on burgundy velvet curtains, serving as a ghoulish tieback.

Death by chocolate :)
Die happy with blocks upon blocks of chocolate. Just in case your guests survive the overdose, there are plenty of poison apples.




Evil Eyeballs
You looking at me? Make your guests do a double take with a serving of Evil Eyeballs. This crowd-pleaser will disappear long before the comments on their name or taste.
